Ingredients

Using Raw Potatoes:

2 Potatoes, whole, scrubbed
1 t Garlic Salt
Oil or Non-Stick Spray
Pepper to taste

Using Frozen Potatoes:

1 Bag Frozen Tater Tots or Frozen Shredded Potatoes
Oil or Non-Stick spray
Salt and pepper

Directions

Using Raw Potatoes:

Preheat Waffle Iron on Medium-low heat. Grate Potatoes using a fine grater, then place on a paper towel. Squeeze to remove any excess liquid. Liberally brush oil or spray the top and bottom of hot waffle iron. Toss potato shreds with garlic salt and pepper. Place about half a cup of Potatoes on the bottom plate of the waffle iron and spread around evenly. Close top of iron and cook about 15 to 20 minutes until crispy.

Using Frozen Potatoes:

Preheat waffle iron on Medium heat. Generously brush oil or spray both top and bottom of waffle iron. Cover bottom plate of waffle iron with Tater Tots. Press the waffle iron closed using a bit of pressure as needed to close the iron over the potatoes. After one minute, open the iron and add more Tots to fill in any empty spots on the bottom plate of the waffle iron as needed. Close lid and cook until brown and crispy. Serve hot.
